People may currently be experiencing problems with the delivery of their PostNL parcel. They may receive a message that the parcel has been delivered to their mailbox, when in reality, there's nothing there.

It's understandable that this is frustrating. In most cases, however, nothing is actually wrong with the package. During periods of extreme demand or unforeseen/extreme (weather) conditions, PostNL uses a different method: packages are already scanned as "delivered" at the depot, so the delivery driver doesn't have to scan at the door later.

This method can cause confusion if the "delivered" message appears even though the package hasn't been delivered yet. Experience, including from previous years, shows that these packages almost always arrive. PostNL indicates that this usually happens within a few days.

In the meantime, check your mailbox daily, ask your neighbors, and post a message in the neighborhood app if necessary.
